Frozen. Note: Oil kept on kitchen counter. |

There's a movie where John Cusack says that no one will ever remake Dr. Zhivago because the modern person cannot handle that much sadness (10 points if you know which movie it is), and as soon as he said it I remembered that someone already had. The remake of Dr. Zhivago has Kiera Knightley and Sam Neill, is visually stunning, if not a bit long. It is also going to be on Ovation soon. Yey! |

| Self-typecasting? The child of Mumford? |

Hope Davis is in another movie about an amateur psychologist dispensing advice, and, in this case, prescriptions, illegally. I know I like the first one, Mumford was just wonderful. Let's hope that Charlie Bartlett doesn't suck. |

Not only is Ian McKellen in Cold Comfort Farm...he's also in every fucking movie ever!
Just bought Rasputin...he's in it.
Flipping channels at night..Da Vinci Code is on...he's in it.
I'm surrounded by one old man. |

| Ian McKellen |

By far, my favorite movie with Ian McKellen is Cold Comfort Farm.
I only mention it, because I just realized that it was him. |

I want to move into the fucking house already.
I love Metalocalypse and Dethklok. I want to see the Dethklok tour, but I'm sure I'd be brutally murdered somehow. Which would be brutal. Do you think they're going to put out a new album after every season?
I hate Xavier: Renegade Angel.
My computer is still out of commission and that makes me sad. |

| The Deal (What's been up) - Part 2 |
[Oct. 8th, 2007|05:02 pm] |
I made my mom switch phones with me this morning, because I knew Dr. Montegut's office would call with my results, and anything dealing with doctor's and hospitals makes me cry(which is why she will come with me to every doctor's appointment EVER). I figured it would be best if she talked to them because any other appointments/procedures would be made around her schedule, not mine (for reasons stated above).
Anyhoo, she got the call, then she called me to tell me that all is well. I'm fine. Everything came back normal. There isn't a damn thing wrong with me.
Sooo...I guess it was just a bug...that completely kicked my ass.
Yey!
It's odd news considering the Doctor seemed so certain, but I am ECSTATIC!
I ate fast food for lunch, basically to tell my stomach that I am no longer afraid of it (which, in retrospect, was foolish), but I won!
I feel good. Haven't been able to say that in about two weeks! |

| The Deal (What's been up) |
[Oct. 6th, 2007|11:43 am] |
After a morning of dealing with Ticketmaster: WE HAVE TOOL TICKETS!!
Hooray!
Dr. told me I might have gall stones. Still haven't gotten the results from my x-rays, which sucks. May need surgery, don't know. But I feel a lot better.
Foot: itches. A lot. Which I take to mean that it is healing from the pointy trowel that I shoved into it.
My computer: fairly sure the hard drive is dead. Need to get a new one. I put in the start-up disk, opened the disk utility, and the hard drive doesn't even show up. So that's definitely the problem.
But I got tickets!
Things are looking up! |

Hey are you tired of living where you're living? Do you want to move out of your parents house? Well then do i have news for you! Dawn and I are looking for 1-2 people to move into an awesome 2000 sq. ft. house. Total rent= $500. Really. $500. That means, with utilities, if we have 4 people, your share could be as little as $200 a month. A deal, right?...I know. Call me 985-956-0536. |

| Fountains and Fairies |
[May. 19th, 2007|10:37 pm] |
Isabel and Trevor managed to make it back to the U.s. alive, and with all of their organs! Yey! And they brought presents! The presents were little knick-knacks, including my cute little 'dillo. They brought back the usual fare: coral, tequila, this awesome South African liquer that tastes like alcoholic chai, jewelry at closeout prices, and...*wait for it*...REAL LIVE Wormwood-distilled Green Fairy Absinthe. WOOHOO!!!
After we got them from port and dropped them home, Nana and I went on the hunt for supplies. We needed proper glasses, sugar cubes, matches, and a suitable spoon. The spoon needing to be: flat, slotted, pointed, small enough to fit in the glass, and also have a lip on either side to sit on the glass. THIS SPOON IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, in the Hammond area. (Yes, we went to Red, White, and Brew, and later to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Still nothin'.)
We made it back to their house, unloaded our not so massive haul, and made for the sampling. There are, at least, two different ways to drink Absinthe. We tried The Water, which looked like toothpaste, and we tried The Fire, which really enhances the licorice smell so much that you don't even really need to drink it. The Fire was my favorite of the two.
Also, we rented the Fountain. It's weird. It's REALLY pretty. I cried. A few times.
Moral of the story: Absinthe does not produce fairies, and it's better with fire. And the Fountain is weird. |

| Spiderman 3 and Modest Mouse |
[May. 12th, 2007|05:01 pm] |
Both were disappointing. Spiderman 3 more than Modest Mouse. Gretchen and I actually walked out of Spiderman 3. I don't think either of us could take the dancing anymore. Blech.
Modest Mouse was okay. I just wanted them to be better. Man Man, one of the opening bands, was fairly awesome, though.
Tool in two weeks! Yey! |

| Ewww. |
[Mar. 20th, 2007|10:19 pm] |
I'm allowed 28-33 points on the diet. Today, I ate 47.5. I feel disgusting.
Also, I went to Best Buy to get Cooking Mama: Cook Off. I found out that it comes out tomorrow. Since when do things come out on Wednesdays? On the plus side, I got the new Modest Mouse, 30 Seconds to Mars, and a $2.99 Foo Fighters CD single, which had Best of You (which is what I was actually looking for). All for $25.
That would be shock and awe.
Edit: Best of You is a live track. Damnit! |

| SPARTANS! |
[Mar. 10th, 2007|10:55 pm] |
I'm, usually, totally against telling someone what they can and cannot do, but I'm thinking that bald men wearing Harley-Davidson t-shirts, that are tucked into jeans, shouldn't be allowed to go into movie theaters, nor should their girlfriends. I am willing to bend on this issue, until someone else fucks it up.
Also, 300 was awesome, despite "freedom isn't free" and the Christ pose. |

| Stomach-virus-y goodness! |
[Mar. 6th, 2007|06:06 pm] |
It started yesterday at work. I've still got it. I feel better today than yesterday, but still yuck. I don't quite feel like I'm going to die anymore, but the thought of eating is still gross, and I can only drink water.
This sucks. |
